ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF

Hello! I'm Shacuria Jackson, the proud founder of Claremont St Bao. My culinary journey began at the age of seven when I first fell in love with the art of cooking. Growing up in Chicago, everyday I would walk home from school, down Devon Street, where I immersed myself in the vibrant Indian culture. The smells of curries brewing and the strong scents of garam masala became the backdrop of my childhood, sparking a deep passion for diverse flavors and cuisines.

My culinary path was further enriched during a brief period living in Humboldt Park, where I was influenced by the rich and lively Latin culture. The music, the community, and, most importantly, the food, left an indelible mark on my cooking style and philosophy.

I pursued my passion professionally by acquiring a degree from Johnson & Wales University, a prestigious institution known for its culinary excellence. Post-graduation, I honed my skills working in various restaurants, each experience added a new layer to my journey.

Eventually, I transitioned to the private chef world, where I had the pleasure of cooking for a few athletes and celebrities. This unique experience not only refined my skills but also taught me the importance of personalization and attention to detail in creating memorable dining experiences.

With Claremont St Bao, I aim to bring together these diverse influences and culinary experiences. My goal is to create a unique dining experience that celebrates the rich tapestry of flavors that have shaped my journey. Thank you for joining me on this delicious adventure!
